Troy J. Price began his training in Karatedo and Kobudo in 1982 at the Columbia School of Karatedo in West Columbia, SC, under the direction of Kyoshi Ridgely Abele. In 1985 he began studying Ju-Jutsu along with his Karatedo training, under the direction of Hanshi Steven Roensch and Kyoshi Abele. In 1997 he began studying Baguazhang and Qigong, then in 1999 began his study of Taijiquan and Xingyiquan. Tashi Price trains with several nationally and internationally known instructors in the traditional martial arts of Karatedo, Kobudo, Ju-Jutsu, Kyusho-Jutsu, Chin-Na, Aikido, Wing Chun, Kuntao, Baguazhang, Xingyiquan, Taijiquan and Qigong.

Tashi Price conducts seminars nationally and in Europe. In 2004 he was awarded a international instructor’s license to teach Martial Arts world wide. He continues to study various areas of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is presently doing extensive research on the Kyusho-Jutsu (vital point striking) aspects within Karate and Ju-Jutsu. Tashi Price has authored a two-volume set the Essential Principles of Shuri-Te Ju-Jutsu and is now developing a DVD series on Continuous Striking Flow Series, Kyusho-Jutsu, Karate-Jutsu and Ju-Jutsu.

Tashi Price has traveled and trained throughout the United States, Europe, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. He presently serves as the Secretary General for the International Shuri-Te Yudansha-Kai and is a member of the United States Ju-Jitsu Federation, United States Martial Arts Federation and International Shuri-Ryu Association. Tashi Price is a former member of the USA Karate Federation Team. He was a member of the first national kata team and second national kumite team to train at the USA Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. He has competed in many regional, national & international championships, including placing second at the 1985 United States Karate Association (USKA) World Championships.

In September of 1998 Tashi Price traveled to Mainland China, he spent 25 days visiting 14 cities and took a 4 day cruise down the Yangzi River. While in China he received instruction in Tai Chi Chuan and had the opportunity to practice Baguazhang and Qigong. During his trip down the Yangzi River he gave a demonstration of his Karate and Ju-Jitsu skills to a group of Chinese and foreign tourist.
